Friends of Prairie Home Cemetery
The Friends of Prairie Home Cemetery originated in 2014. In 2019, the Friends became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The Friends are an all-volunteer organization that works closely with the cemetery to support and fundraise for needed projects and programs.
Purpose
The primary mission of the organization is to support the preservation, restoration, maintenance, beautification, and awareness of Prairie Home Cemetery through volunteering, financial support, education, and advocacy efforts.
Becoming a Friend
Interested in becoming a Friend of Prairie Home Cemetery? Membership is open to individuals or families that support the mission and purposes of the organization. Please complete the membership form and submit with payment as indicated to the cemetery office.
Annual Membership Dues:- $25 for individuals
- $40 for families (2 adults in same household)

Meetings
The Board of Directors meets monthly, and the annual membership meeting is held in January.
Current Projects
The Friends are raising funds for the installation of a Veterans Tribute Garden in the newer Veteran section of the cemetery. Included in the design are a monument, solar-lit flagpole, arbor, and garden area.
This project is fully-funded by donations. Donations are accepted at the cemetery office during business hours or mailing a check made out to “Friends of Prairie Home Cemetery” to Prairie Home Cemetery, 605 S. Prairie Ave., Waukesha, WI 53186.
