A few things to know:

  • Enter the parade route on Grand Ave. heading northbound beginning at Carroll St. towards Wisconsin Ave., turn left onto Wisconsin, left onto Maple, then exit the parade by continuing down Maple.
  • Drive through anytime between 11:00 am and 12:30 pm
  • All participants must be in a vehicle and remain in a vehicle
  • Please note this will be a much smaller parade than usual however all the unit participants are doing their best to share the spirit of Independence Day with you.
  • Have a great time and enjoy the parade!

Goody bags for the kiddos will include candy, fruit snacks, granola bars, stickers, tattoos, sidewalk chalk courtesy of Waukesha Kiwanis Early Risers, Culver’s scoop tokens, free Kids Meal coupons from Texas Roadhouse and Panda Express, and an American flag.  Please make sure contents are appropriate for your child.

A Front Yard 4th

Following the Reverse Parade you are invited to participate in the following events:

  • Front Yard Cook-Out: Starting at 4:00 pm bring your grill to the front and enjoy seeing your neighbors at a front yard cook-out.
  • 4th Flyover:  Eyes on the sky as planes from the T28 Trojan Horsemen take to the sky over Waukesha, 7:10 pm to 7:25 pm. The ex US Navy North American T28s with 1400 horse power Radial engines that were recycled from WWII B17s will be an awesome site to see!

Fireworks Salute

The City will not be holding the annual Fireworks display. Various alternatives were explored. However, due to a variety of logistical issues including the need to maintain social distancing and the amount of traffic expected it was determined to not be feasible to hold the fireworks.

We are all disappointed and look forward to resuming our full festivities in 2021.
