The La Casa de Esperanza facility, located at 410 Arcadian Avenue in Waukesha, consists of three parts. The original facility, which was built in the early 1960s; La Casa's Community Center, which was constructed in 2000-01; and La Casa's Charter School, which was constructed in 2017. The buildings were built to specifically accommodate a state-of-the-art childcare center and school. One will see beautiful artwork depicting many places and traditions of Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Central and South American countries.
La Casa will be offering guided tours every 30 minutes and exhibits of artwork and artisan creations from many Latin American countries. The La Casa drum and dance group, made up of students in grades 1-5 who perform on handcrafted drums and wear dance costumes that represent native Aztec cultures, will perform at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm in the gym. In addition, La Casa will provide an authentic Latin American sampling of appetizers throughout the day in the gym. Café Esperanza will not be open.
