Guests are encouraged to visit the corner of East and Broadway to see the First Congregational United Church of Christ—home to the first organized Church of Christ in the state. The church was built in 1867 and still boasts beautiful woodwork of that era. The stained-glass windows are beautiful with the sun streaming through. There are also exposed organ pipes and a rope that is pulled to signify the start of worship. The sanctuary was wonderfully refurbished in 2019 along with their main Fellowship Hall. All are welcome to visit a treasure right here in Waukesha.
Visitors are encouraged to enjoy an ongoing historic slideshow presentation and self-guided tour.
This location is kid-friendly.
