Celebrate the opening of the NEW Buchner Park Pool!

Help us christen our new pool and join us for an afternoon of fun water themed activities. Dance to the sounds of a live DJ, show off your style with a best dressed swimsuit from 1896, test your accuracy with our dunk tank, challenge yourself with an inner tube race and show off your style in our diving board and basketball trick shot competitions!

12:30 pm                              Throwback Swimsuit Competition (by DJ Booth)

12:30 - 2:00 pm                    Dunk Tank - Try your skill and dunk the Mayor, Aquatics Supervisor Mark Thompson or a variety of                                                   lifeguards!

12:30 - 2:00 pm                    Duck Races

12:30 - 2:00 pm                    Street Curling (2 person teams, space is limited)

12:45 pm                              Diving Competition (meet by diving board)

1:15 pm                                Basketball Trickshot Competition (meet by basketball hoop)

Summer 2021 Special Event COVID Safety Considerations

We will follow all orders issued by our Federal, State, and Local Government. The offerings, policy and programs are subject to change at any time pending Government orders.

  • Attendees are asked to spread out over the expansive grass area and are expected to socially distance.
  • A cone grid will be set up to allow a maximum of 5 people per space (sitting close to the cone).
  • Attendees will be asked to observe social distancing (signage on site and included in marketing materials).
  • Attendees are encouraged to check the information line at 262-522-9356 as schedules may be adjusted and public safety standards may change.
  • Buchnerfest will require pre-registration.
  • The public and employees will not be required to wear a mask at this event (public space).
