Meadowview Park Pedestrian Bridge Project

Project Update September 18, 2020

This week the contractor began and completed the excavation of both concrete bridge abutments for the new pedestrian bridge over the park wetlands and poured a concrete pad at the bottom of the excavation to stabilize the subgrade.

Next week the contractor will be forming up the new concrete bridge abutments and plans to complete the pouring of the abutments mid-late next week.  Once the abutments are poured, during the concrete cure time, they will adjust their work to the storm sewer installation on the west side of the park.

A portion of the east side of the pedestrian path within the park has been closed to all pedestrian traffic.  Please follow the signing/barricades regarding path closures.  Access is available to the west side of the path loop.  Do not enter anywhere near the current bridge excavation and avoid any areas that are blocked off with caution tape.

All the dates and times above are subject to change and are weather dependent.  I will update the group if anything changes from the above information.  If you have any questions or concerns regarding the project, please feel free to contact me.
