This week the City DPW was able to pave Yorkshire Ct, Turnberry Ct, Aberdeen Ct, Wellington Ct, Faringdon Ct, Dartmoor Ct, and Plymouth Ct. The City’s contractor was also able to mill all of Rolling Ridge Drive, Lancaster Dr, and Devonshire Ct. Today they also began fine grading Rolling Ridge Dr and poured some concrete curb and gutter.
Tomorrow Wolf will be onsite for a half day to continue fine grading. This operation will continue until Tuesday of next week. Starting on Wednesday (weather dependent), Wolf Pavement Inc will pave the first layer of asphalt. They tentatively plan on starting near the intersection of Rolling Ridge Dr and University Dr. The paving will take two days to complete. After paving the contractor will finish all remaining restoration on the project. The final layer of asphalt is tentatively scheduled for the week of 9/28. All of the remaining concrete work is scheduled to be completed by the end of the day Monday.
This year the resurfacing program is in the Rolling Ridge area of the City. The project will consist of sewer manhole and storm inlet repairs, curb and gutter repairs, upgrading handicap ramps to meet current ADA standards, milling and overlaying/paving with asphalt pavement.
Also included in this project is phase I of the flood mitigation improvements in this areas. this will include up-sizing the existing culvert crossings along Rolling Ridge Drive from Devonshire Ct. to University Drive.
