Greenmeadow Sanitary Interceptor Sewer

Project Update: May 15, 2020

This project included installation of a new sanitary interceptor sewer from the intersection of Greenmeadow Dr. and Michigan Ave. to the intersection of College Ave. and Sentry Dr. This sewer has allowed the elimination of the Greenmeadow and Woodfield pump stations.

This week’s work:

  • Removed pavement on Michigan Ave between Greenmeadow Dr and Western Ave. Placed final layers of new asphalt.
  • Milled off surface layer on south half of Madison St near 1949 Madison St. Placed final layer of asphalt.
  • Placed new asphalt patch in Lowell Park parking lot
  • Continued restoration sod/seed work on S Moreland Blvd, Dopp St, Joellen Dr, Lowell Park, Michigan Ave

Next week’s work:

  • Finish restoration sod/seed work on project
  • Install pavement striping on project

  • None

Streets that will have No Access for the next week:

  • None

All restoration work remaining on the project (final asphalt, sod, striping, etc) is scheduled to be completed near the end of May.
