Creative Pen Pal Connections
Introducing an on-going pen pal program for all ages that will be a win-win for all participants. It’s guaranteed to bring a smile to your heart; and it’s guaranteed to eliminate feelings of loneliness and isolation . . . you may even develop a new friendship. Every effort will be made to match pen pals with similar interests. A packet of stationary and stamped envelopes will be provided to participants and volunteers. WPRF volunteers will be screened and begin correspondence with pen pal participants.

Senior Connect
Feeling lonely? Need someone to chat with? Want to converse over the telephone with someone of your own age? If you are a senior, you may wish to have a phone conversation with another senior. This isolation-breaking, friendship-making, connection-creating program is planned to meet your needs. WPRF volunteers will be screened and will initiate the phone conversation with the Senior Connect participants.

Global Bear Hunt
People all over the world are encouraging children and their families to stay healthy and active by placing stuffed teddy bears or bear cutouts in their window. This is a fun way for children to go outdoors.

Summer Slugger
The Brewers and MLB have teamed up with EVERFI to create Summer Slugger -- a FREE online educational platform that uses baseball to help kids (ages 8-11) maintain their math and literacy skills away from the classroom. October Craft/Game Ideas
Fall Paper Tree
Materials you will need:
•clear Contact Paper
•scissors
•painters’ tape
•brown packaging paper (or brown lunch sakes)
•red, orange, and yellow paper
•2-inch circle hole punch
Directions:
1.Cut a sheet of contact paper from your roll, remove the backing and tape it to your wall with the sticky side facing out.
2.Cut pieces for the tree. (brown packaging paper or paper bags) cut a large piece for a trunk and several small strips in varying lengths for the branches. Crinkle all of them to give them more of a realistic look.
3.Add all the leaves (red, orange, yellow paper) onto your tree branches to finish your tree. Have some falling off the tree and on the ground.
Mummy Jars
Materials you will need:
- Mason Jars
- 1″ Gauze Bandage
- Googly Eyes
- Flameless Votive Candles or candy to put in the jar!
Leaf People
Materials you will need:
- Leaves
- Paper
- Glue
- Markers
Head outside and collect leaves. Bring back inside and design fun leaf people using paper, glue and markers!
Melted Crayon Pumpkins!
Materials you will need:
- Real white pumpkin (or orange)
- Crayons
- Tacky Glue
- Blow dryer
Directions:
- Unwrap your crayons
- Cut the crayons in half
- Glue about 16 crayon pieces using tacky glue to the pumpkin
- After the glue has dried, use a hair dryer to melt the crayons
