Mary assumed the role of Property Maintenance Inspector for the City of Waukesha in early October. She comes to us from the City of Milwaukee where she was employed for approximately 5 years. During that time she worked closely with a number of diverse groups including the Milwaukee Police Department, the Department of Aging, Non-Profit agencies, and neighborhood groups to help identify and solve issues affecting their community.
Mary received a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee and has a strong background in building code/property maintenance, zoning, and environmental and special enforcement inspections.
In her role here at the City, she will be responsible for following up on constituent and Aldermanic complaints about property maintenance and nuisance issues. She will also be assigned tenant complaints and address zoning issues.
Mary is excited to be here and says that she is “looking forward to working in a city where the constituents are actively involved and care about their neighborhoods.” And we are looking forward to working with her. Chief Building Inspector Mike Mazmanian believes that “Mary’s diverse background and experience makes her a great addition to our code enforcement team. As a seasoned inspector with an extensive skill set she is a valuable asset to our department and the community.”
