Waukesha West Bypass

2017 West Waukesha Bypass (Meadowbrook Road) Reconstruction Project Update

June 23, 2017

The water main replacement along Meadowbrook Rd. is still ongoing, however, the roadway contractor was able to make progress in other locations of the project.  The contractor has made progress on building one of the large storm sewer structures near Woodridge Ln. on the west side of Meadowbrook Rd., and look to have that complete mid next week.  The contractor was also able to begin the final grading for the new roadway pavement on the west side of Meadowbrook Rd. from Joann Dr. to the southern project limits.

Next week the water main replacement will continue with the connection of water services along Meadowbrook Rd., and should be complete by the end of next week.  The roadway contractor will be placing storm sewer pipes and structures within the Joann Dr. intersection, west of Meadowbrook Rd., and may also begin the placement of the box culvert storm sewer near Woodridge Ln.  Once the storm sewer work at Joann Dr. is completed, and the roadway gravel base course is placed, the contractor will be opening up Joann Dr. at Meadowbrook Rd., and at the same time be closing Woodridge Ln. at Meadowbrook Rd.  This is anticipated to be on Wednesday June 28th (Weather Dependent).  The switching of closure from Woodridge Ln., to Joann Dr., will allow the contractor to work on the box culvert storm sewer at Woodridge Ln.

Also in conjunction with the roadway and storm sewer work, there will be minor grading operations within Meadowview Park for the future bio-filtration basins.
